I spend my days below 14th St. and generally above Canal. I’ve had girlfriends. I’ve been in love. I’ve had my heart ripped out and handed to me by numerous women. I’ve done my share of ripping too. These are stories of my New York.
Is it really 60 out? Is this real? I feel like we are cheating, like winter was too short, like we almost don’t deserve this blessing. New York is amazing. I love it here. My Internet friend is back, I missed her. And nothing might ever come between us but any guy would be lucky to know her. (Yes, J, I’m shouting you out.) I had a date this week. She told me that the Japanese do not have a word for no. She said they say: ’it is what it is’ when they want to turn down a business proposal. We didn’t sleep together, but we made out in the middle of the sidewalk on Avenue A. The new post will be done soon; I’m sorry it’s been so long.
