Because you work together, you can probably ask him if he wants to grab a Starbucks without it seeming like a big deal. If he says yes, feel it out and see how into you he may be or not. Think about if it’s worth putting your work environment on the line for some dick. If it is, go for it, if not, no harm, just two colleagues enjoying some pretty crappy Lattes.
